What a Blackjack Dealer Says?

As a blackjack dealer, I’ve heard it all. I’ve been asked everything from the basic rules of the game to the most intricate strategy questions.

And, I’ve heard some pretty wild stories, too. Here are some of the things I’ve heard over the years:.

1. “I never split aces.”

This is one of the most common things I hear from players. They think that splitting aces is always a bad idea because they’ll end up with two weak hands. But that’s not necessarily true.

Sure, you might end up with two weak hands, but you might also end up with two strong hands. It all depends on the cards you’re dealt.

2. “I always double down on 11.”

Again, this is a common misconception. Players think that because 11 is a good number to have, they should always double down when they have it. But that’s not always the case.

You should only double down if you have a good chance of winning the hand. If the dealer is showing a low card, for example, then doubling down might not be the best idea.

PRO TIP:When playing blackjack, it’s important to pay attention to what the dealer says. The dealer will announce the bets, describe the cards dealt, and explain how each hand will be played. Additionally, they will often give additional instructions about how to play your hand or make decisions on insurance and splitting pairs. If you have any questions as you play, don’t hesitate to ask the dealer for clarification.

3.”I never hit on 16.”

This one drives me crazy. Players think that because 16 is a “bad” number, they should never hit on it. But that’s not how blackjack works. You should always hit on 16 if the dealer is showing a high card (like an ace or a 10).

The reason why is because there’s a good chance the dealer will bust if they have to hit on 16. So, hitting on 16 gives you a good chance of winning the hand.

4.”I always stay on 17.”

Another common misconception. Players think that because 17 is a “good” number, they should always stay on it. But again, that’s not how blackjack works.

You should only stay on 17 if the dealer is showing a low card (like a 2 or 3). If the dealer is showing a high card (like an ace or 10), then hitting might be a better option.

5.”I know when the dealer has toHit .”

This one always makes me laugh. Players seem to think that they can tell when the dealer has to hit and when they don’t.

But the reality is, no one knows when the dealer has to hit except for the dealer themselves! It’s all based on chance and luck of the draw. So please, don’t try to tell me when I have to hit!.
