In poker, Chicago is a variant of the game in which the player with the best hand showing at the end of the final betting round takes all the money in the pot. This is also known as a “pot-limit” game.

In pot-limit games, like Chicago, players can only raise by an amount equal to or less than the current size of the pot.
For example, let’s say that there are three players in a hand and the pot size is $100. If Player 1 bets $50, Player 2 can raise by $50 (to make it $100 total) or less, but not more.
If Player 2 raises by $100, then Player 3 can only call or fold since they cannot afford to match that bet.
The biggest difference between Chicago and other poker variants is that in Chicago, whoever has the best hand at showdown wins everything in the pot regardless of whether or not they bet on that particular hand. In other words, there is no such thing as “bluffing” in Chicago – it’s all about having the best hand possible.
This makes for a very different dynamic than other poker games where players can often win pots by betting even if they don’t have particularly strong hands. In Chicago, you need to be very careful about when you bet and how much you bet because if you don’t have a good hand, you’re likely to lose all your chips.
