What Slots Can You Socket in Shadowlands?

In Shadowlands, slots determine what kind of socket can be placed in an item. There are four different slots: head, neck, shoulder, and back.

Each slot corresponds to a different item type that can be socketed. For example, the head slot corresponds to helms, the neck slot to necklaces, the shoulder slot to shoulders, and the back slot to cloaks.

The four slots are determined by the item’s location on the body. The head slot is for items that are worn on the head, the neck slot is for items that are worn around the neck, the shoulder slot is for items that are worn on the shoulders, and the back slot is for items that are worn on the back.

Each item type has a different number of sockets. Helms have one socket, necklaces have two sockets, shoulders have three sockets, and cloaks have four sockets.

The number of sockets an item has determines how many different kinds of sockets can be placed in it.

The four slots and their corresponding item types are:

Head: Helms
Neck: Necklaces
Shoulder: Shoulders
Back: Cloaks.
