Robert Francis “Blackjack” Mulligan, Jr. (November 26, 1942 – April 7, 2016) was an American professional wrestler, best known for his work in the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) in the 1960s and 1970s.

Born in New York City, Mulligan was one of seven children. His father worked as a longshoreman and his mother was a homemaker.

He attended Power Memorial Academy, where he played football and basketball. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served for four years.

Mulligan began his wrestling career in 1964. He wrestled under a mask as “The Beast” in Detroit, Michigan and won the Michigan State Heavyweight Championship. He later unmasked and wrestled as “Blackjack Mulligan” in the New York territory of the WWWF.

He feuded with Bruno Sammartino and won the WWWF United States Heavyweight Championship from Pedro Morales. He also had a long-running feud with “Superstar” Billy Graham.
