Who Is BlackJack SquarePants Father?

In the SpongeBob SquarePants episode “Mid-Life Crustacean,” BlackJack SquarePants makes his first and only appearance. He is SpongeBob’s long-lost father, who abandoned his son when he was a baby.

BlackJack is a tall, muscular, and light-skinned crab who wears an open purple shirt, revealing his hairy chest. He has a tattoo of a skull on his right arm, and he is missing two teeth.

He is also SpongeBob’s complete opposite; while SpongeBob is nice, BlackJack is mean.

In the episode, SpongeBob goes to visit his parents after finding out that they are getting old. When he gets to their house, however, he discovers that they have both died.

Devastated, SpongeBob goes to their graves and cries. Suddenly, BlackJack appears and tells SpongeBob that he is his long-lost father.

BlackJack then proceeds to tell SpongeBob how he abandoned him when he was a baby because he was scared of being a father. He also tells SpongeBob that he has been living a life of crime ever since.

SpongeBob is shocked and disappointed to hear this, but BlackJack doesn’t seem to care.

In the end, SpongeBob forgives BlackJack and the two reconcile. However, it is never revealed what happened to BlackJack after this episode or if he ever became a part of SpongeBob’s life again.
