The primary economic engine for the tribe is its gaming enterprise which includes both casinos mentioned above. The casinos provide jobs for about 1/3rd of all employed Osage Tribal members making it one of the largest employers in Northeast Oklahoma outside of government jobs.

The revenue generated by gaming supports many essential governmental services including housing, public safety, senior citizen services and youth programs among others not normally funded by government sources. In addition to casinos, the tribe’s business portfolio includes agricultural operations, real estate holdings, manufacturing/construction companies and several service businesses including an auto dealership (Pawhuska Ford) and a funeral home (Osage Funeral Home).
