Who Owns Red Rock Casino?

Red Rock Resort is a hotel and casino in Summerlin South, Nevada, located within the Las Vegas Valley. Owned and operated by Station Casinos, it is one of the company’s two flagship properties.

The hotel, designed by Friedmutter Group with architectural work by Bergman, Walls & Associates, features 815 guest rooms and suites. The casino offers slots and table games, as well as a race and sports book.

In March 2007, the property was sold to Station Casinos for $889 million. The sale was financed through a $1.

15 billion loan from Deutsche Bank AG which was later securitized.

Station Casinos announced on February 12, 2008 that it would break ground on a new hotel tower at Red Rock Resort. The 31-story tower added 554 rooms and suites to the resort, increasing its room total to 1,369.

In May 2010, Station Casinos announced that it would file for bankruptcy protection.

Red Rock Resort was not included in the bankruptcy filing; however its future ownership was unclear at that time since some of Station Casinos’ other properties were up for sale in order to repay creditors. In August 2010, Station Casinos announced that it had reached an agreement with its lenders which would allow the company to keep control of Red Rock Resort as well as several other properties.

As part of the agreement, Station Casinos’ debt was reduced from $6 billion to $2.3 billion.

The property is currently owned by Station Casinos and remains one of the company’s two flagship properties along with Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa in Henderson, Nevada.
