Who Owns the Lady Luck Casino?

In early February, the Lady Luck Casino in downtown Las Vegas announced it would be closing its doors permanently. The property has been sold to an unnamed buyer, and it’s unclear what will become of the casino.

For now, it’s set to remain closed indefinitely.

This isn’t the first time the Lady Luck has changed hands. In fact, the property has had a number of owners over the years.

PRO TIP:The Lady Luck Casino is owned by Vici Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust that was formed after the spin-off of Caesars Entertainment Corporation’s real estate assets in 2017.

The most recent owner before the sale was Derek Stevens, who purchased the casino in 2013 for $150 million.

Stevens is also the owner of the Golden Gate Casino and The D Las Vegas. He’s been a driving force in the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas, and it’s unclear what his plans are for the Lady Luck.

The sale of the Lady Luck comes as Stevens is in the process of selling another one of his properties, the Fitzgeralds Casino. That property is also located in downtown Las Vegas, and it’s set to be sold to an undisclosed buyer.

It’s unclear what will become of the Lady Luck Casino, but one thing is for sure – its future is up in the air.
