When Did Grand Victoria Casino Open?

Grand Victoria Casino opened on October 9, 1996, becoming the 21st casino in the state of Illinois. The casino is located on the Fox River in Elgin, approximately 40 miles northwest of Chicago.

The casino was originally owned and operated by Hyatt Corporation, but was sold to British gaming company Rank Group plc in 1999. Rank Group plc then sold the casino to Pinnacle Entertainment in 2002.
