How Do I Get Umbral Mod Slots?

Umbral mods are a new type of mod that was introduced in Update 22.0 of Warframe.

They can be acquired by completing certain Nightwave tasks or purchased from Nightwave Caches. Each umbral mod can be slotted into an umbral mod slot, which can be found on Warframes, weapons, and sentinels.

When an umbral mod is slotted into an umbral mod slot, it will increase the power of that Warframe, weapon, or sentinel by a certain percentage. The percentage increase depends on the rarity of the umbral mod.

For example, a common umbral mod will increase the power by 5%, while an uncommon umbral mod will increase the power by 10%. There are also rare and ultra rare umbral mods, which increase the power by 15% and 20% respectively.

To slot an umbral mod into an umbral mod slot, simply drag and drop the mod onto the slot. Once an umbral mod is slotted, it cannot be removed without using an Umbra Forma.

Umbra Formas can be purchased from Nightwave Caches or earned by completing certain Nightwave tasks.

Umbral mods are a great way to boost the power of your Warframe, weapon, or sentinel. However, they are not required to progress through the game or to participate in endgame activities.

If you don’t want to use umbral mods, you can simply ignore them and continue playing Warframe as you normally would.
