In April 2018, Bruce Deifik purchased the property from Straub for $229 million and renamed it Ocean Resort Casino. Deifik invested over $200 million into renovations and rebranding of the property.
The casino reopened on June 28, 2018, becoming one of two new casinos in Atlantic City (the other being Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City).
